Frenchies are playful, alert, affectionate and intelligent with a comical personality and a sweet nature. They are also very loyal to their owners (but because of that they don't like to be separated for too long). With their compact size and cuddly tendencies, they make great house/ apartment dogs that are sure to win over the hearts of everyone in the family. If you like to spend time with your dog or are at home a lot, a french bulldog can be a wonderful choice of companion.

The AKC lists that the French Bulldog breed has a lifespan of 11 to 13 years.

are there any health issues i should be aware of?

While Frenchies are known for being the healthiest of the bulldog breeds, they still fall into the category of being a flat faced breed. Because of this and their fine coats they don't do well in extreme hot or cold weather. You will have to avoid taking your Frenchie out on hot days and bundle them up on cold ones. While we take pride in breeding beautiful, healthy pups, potential owners should familiarize themselves with common health issues seen in the breed and always make sure they have a little extra money saved up to make sure that their beloved dogs will always be taken care of.
